This week, the AP English Literature class is studying Sir Thomas More’s Utopia about his version of an ideal society. On Thursday, members of the class tried to design their own ideal society: one based on equality of condition (animals included!), a fair taxation system and education which is free for everyone. Lofty dreams indeed! As we move through More’s text, we are comparing and contrasting elements of his perfect world with our own.
