This week the Female Peer Leadership group put on an anti-bullying week. The school community participated in several activities throughout the week to bring awareness to the importance of standing up to bullying. On Wednesday, all students were encouraged to wear pink to symbolize that they stand up to bullying. Over the lunch hour on Wednesday the several grade 8 girls and their mentors were set up in the front lobby spray painting students’ hair pink and spreading messages of anti-bullying. Students were also encouraged to STOMP OUT bullying by adding their footprint to a school mural. All homerooms also participated in a quilt making activity that will display important anti-bullying messages. This will be an ongoing message throughout the year at Crestwood – Stand Up and Speak Up.
