November 11th is one of the most important days on the Crestwood calendar as it marks Remembrance Day. This is a day that all Canadians honour, where we pause and think about and thank the many veterans that have sacrificed for Canada during times of war. Because of the ongoing Oral History Project, Crestwood students have the opportunity to meet the veterans, and to interview them about their experiences. While that is an important educational objective, the project does not end with the interview, or even with the submission of the assignment. Our commitment to the veterans and their families goes beyond that, and the veterans feel a special connection to Crestwood. Many visit us for Remembrance Day, as well as on other special occasions, and they are now part of our community at Crestwood.
