The Grade 5 and 6 students participated in Student Vote Day today, casting their votes for who they believe would be the best mayor for the City of Toronto. Students prepared for this vote by researching the mayoral candidates, and learning about the major issues being addressed and debated in Toronto. Students enjoyed experiencing the process of voting, and developed an understanding of the democratic process, as well as the important responsibility we carry as citizens. Thank you to all students and teachers who participated so enthusiastically in this program. We look forward to hearing the election results on Monday, October 22nd.
