After graduating from Crestwood and attending the University of Michigan earning a B.A. in International Studies, I spent seven years in New York pursuing a career in public relations. I recently relocated to Los Angeles, got married and bought a house. I am a Manager at Porter Novelli, a Global PR firm specializing in purpose. What I love about what I do is that I am a professional storyteller, and I get to help organizations, from Panasonic to the GRAMMY Awards, prioritizing making a positive impact. I’ve helped jumpstart initiatives dedicated to racial justice and female empowerment–two issues I am very passionate about. I get to support two of these initiatives at the GRAMMY awards this year, where I will be wearing lots of PPE.
Crestwood definitely helped lay the foundation for the skill set that is essential to do what I do and work on the issues I care most about. Big shout out to Mr. Masters’ history class for arming me with necessary historical context needed to rise up in my career.
I’ve been working from home for the past year, which has been difficult for me, as I have always been a people person. I can’t wait to go back to the office, see my colleagues and clients on a regular basis, and be able to travel into Canada freely to visit friends and family.
