Dear Parents,
We have made it through one whole month of remote learning! Congratulations to all students, parents and teachers! We are so proud of everyone for their hard work and determination to overcome all the obstacles that come with online learning.
We were excited to launch our ZOOM clubs this week, and it was so great to see students in a more informal online environment. Please look out for our updated flyer with some new clubs being offered and some changes to the age ranges for some of our clubs. Students are more than welcome to try something new this week, even if they didn’t attend last week. The easiest way to access a club link is through Edsby in the “My Groups” section.
Thanks again to Mr. Cooper and the House Heads for a fun week of events and challenges. We had a Just Dance Competition, another exciting Bingo game and they introduced us to “The Emoji Game”. Edsby is our hub for clubs, events, challenges and any other important information. Please encourage your child to keep checking Edsby for updates.
Looking ahead to next week, we will be having our first school wide virtual assembly to kick off our MS Read-A-Thon campaign. Stay tuned for instructions on how to get involved and donate to a very worthwhile cause. Also coming up next week, our Grade 6 students will be creating some mental health and wellness posters to remind us all how to keep our minds and bodies healthy, especially during a challenging time such as this. We look forward to sharing these posters with you in the coming weeks.
Have a wonderful weekend!
