Once upon a time, there were two Grade One classes – Grade 1A and Grade 1B. The beginning of the school year felt like, “Once upon a time,” when they started on the very first day in September and entered their magical kingdoms. As time went by, they were transported into the Zoom Room and virtual teaching. Did that stop them? NO! They continued learning, sharing, and having a great time! As usual, they ended their year with their annual Fairy Tale Unit. It was a little challenging having their annual “Royal Tea”, but that did not deter them at all! They carried on studying many fairy tales and wrote their very own original stories. They decided a “Fairy Tale Celebration” would do the trick and came dressed in their royal garb, jewels and all. We had kings, queens, princes, princesses, fairies, knights, dragons, a couple of guests who could disappear using their magic cloaks, and even a Fairy Godmother, attend. After this very unique year, it all ended, “happily ever after!”
