On Wednesday 3C explored the life and art of a very famous artist, Henri Matisse! Henri Matisse was a French artist who was born in 1869. He created many different types of artwork during his lifetime. As Henri Matisse grew older and struggled with health problems, he couldn’t paint and sculpt the way he used to. He began to create art in a new way, using scissors as his tool and paper as his medium. He often used non-realistic colours and patterns when creating this new form of art.
During our art class, 3C only used colourful paper and scissors to create our cut out art. We even used organic shapes, just like Matisse did! Check out our colourful creations!
Keep up the fantastic work 3C!
